This is my plea ( When you are very thirsty and you beg for a drink desperately, this is an example of a plea )
I have been given a deaf ear for a very very long time since the commissions and BDM were eliminated and we the Travel Agents became too small for Air Canada. I have been looking for " we kindly ask that you please contact your sales manager regarding your concerns " for some few decades now and yet to find who this " Sales Manager " is for our agency??

I am saying the below to awaken Humanity!

I feel that Airlines have forgotten us, or taken us for granted! or only care when they need us as during the Pandamic, or Hurricanes when the airlines have major cancellations when we take over to protect many stranded clients and on rare or on " So-called " " Travel Agent Day " Once a year!!
Please do not take this as I am angry, or upset, this is " Plea " a humble request! We need each other, we save time, we help, we resolve, we create happiness One thing that this Covid-19 has taught us is that we are "One-Humanity", we need each other, we all have to do our part.
What I do not understand is :
We work for Free to sell airline tickets, we work free to reissue schedule changes, we work free to give advice, we work free to explain Covid rules; and give refunds; We resolve customer complaints, we calm them down. We say good things about the Airline. We problem-solve!!! these are just a few things we do as Travel Agents. What concerns me is that: if we make a mistake we get a DEBIT MEMO starting from $50 + Tax for a ticket we have made Zero commissions from the airline
Charge Back and Debit Memo: I have one now that I am fighting with Merchant Services for our fees, and two with the Airlines; If we implement new technology we can all avoid this as I am told it the costs on FRAUD are in Billions. Sorry I thought of this now as I said about Fraud ... Not in anger ... If airlines have an allowance for the So-called Fraud then why not have a budget for travel agents for their hard work; teamwork, fair compensation.
Also, I have suggestions on how to " Avoid Charge Back " and on future payments methods to the airline.... Please have your team talk to me. Please and Thank you.
One Thought and an idea! Please reconsider compensating us for the amount of work we do " we both know that ", please & thank you. as well come up with a Beta Model whereby you choose us as a " Travel Agent Reservation staff " instead of hiring or having a Travel Agent call center Give us that control and offer us compensation/commission/booking fees etc. Hope we can connect and resolve these and many many many issues for our mutual benefit and "growth".
What surprises me and amaze me is: Airline says we cannot afford travel agents, and yet they turn around and Offer Airlines Offer Promo code to consumers, ON CONSUMER Sites - Please also Post as an Ad Banner on Agency Site. I see the Promo code to Credit Card companies see attached, please also give us the same or equivalent as a commission
